Protect Your Home and Loved Ones—At No Cost to You!
Smoke alarms are essential for early fire detection, while carbon monoxide detectors safeguard against the silent threat of carbon monoxide poisoning. Thanks to a South Dakota State Grant and the LAUREN Project, local residents can receive free smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors.
The LAUREN Project was founded in memory of Lauren Moilien Johnson, who tragically lost her life to carbon monoxide poisoning just days before a planned international service trip. Lauren’s legacy lives on through a movement promoting safety, justice, and international volunteerism. Since its inception in 2009, the LAUREN Project has donated thousands of carbon monoxide detectors throughout the United States. Learn more about the LAUREN Project ›
